| | | | | | | | | Background: | The Health Planning Council of Northeast Florida is applying for a HRSA Rural Communities Opioid Response Program Planning Grant and is seeking letters of support for their application. The completed application is due January 15, 2019.
The Partnership for a Healthier Nassau has identified mental health as one of the top priorities for the Community Health Improvement Plan. If awarded, the Health Planning Council will use the funding to support treatment for and prevention of substance use disorder, including opioids. The Health Planning Council provides services to Nassau County residents, therefore, their programs will help address mental health disorders in our community. | | Request: | Approve and authorize the Chairman to sign a letter of support for the Health Planning Council's HRSA Rural Communities Opioid Response Program Planning Grant Application.
