Background:
Current Emergency Management Director, Mr. Billy Estep, is retiring and Captain Greg Foster has been chosen as a replacement. Nassau County Emergency Management falls under the jurisdiction of the Sheriff's Office and although the Sheriff has the authority to select someone for this position, the Sheriff would like the Board of County Commissioners to confirm Captain Foster as the Emergency Management Director. The Emergency Management Director reports to the County Manager during a declared State of Emergency.
