Item Title:Approve Temporarily Reducing the Posted Speed Limit on CR 115 from Braddock Road to Dyal Road
Date:6/24/2019
Department:Engineering Services
Background:

Engineering Services, at the request of the Nassau County Sheriff’s Office, is seeking  Board approval to reduce the posted speed limit on CR 115 (Old Dixie Highway) from 45 mph to 35 mph along a one mile section located between Braddock Road and Dyal Road. The reduction is requested due to the narrow roadway conditions in that area. The posted speed limit would be returned to 45 mph through this section once the widening and repaving of CR 115 is completed.

Request:
Consider a Resolution of the Board of County Commissioners of Nassau County, Florida, establishing a temporary 35 mph speed zone on County Road 115 between Braddock Road and Dyal Road, providing for findings by the Board of County Commissioners; providing for placement of 35 mph speed limit signs; providing for penalities; and providing for an effective date.
