| | | | | | | | | Background: | Tracy Bazar, Director of Property Taxes-Nassau County Tax Collector's Office, has provided the Board of County Commissioners the list of 2017 County Held Certificates (2016 Taxes) valued at less than $5,000. The County may apply for Tax Deed Application on these Certificates, but it is not required. The Department of Planning and Economic Opportunity has reviewed the certificates and found no purpose for pursuing these parcels.
.S. 197-502 requires the County make application for Tax Deed on all Tax Certificates on property valued at $5,000 or greater.
