Item Title:Consideration of JEA's Request to Open Cut Amelia Concourse

Background:

On September 19, 2018 a request was made on behalf of JEA to approve an open road cut across Amelia Concourse.  Staff denied the request, therefore, JEA’s request was presented to the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) for consideration.  On September 19, 2018 the BOCC unanimously voted to deny the request based on the significant impact to the area, citizens, and traffic.

 

JEA has revised their request, and now proposes a change to the location of the open road cut on Amelia Concourse, which will reduce the number of joints.  JEA is also proposing the work be completed at night.  Should the Board approve these revisions, JEA will be required to obtain a permit and pay the application fee.
