Item Title:Corrected Memorandum of Understanding between JEA and Nassau County

Background:

During a regular session of the Nassau County Board of County Commissioners held on August 12, 2019 the Board approved and authorized the Chairman to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with JEA for the design and construction of the Pages Dairy Road project from Felmor Road to Chester Road for water main work. 

 

JEA has notified Engineering Services that the MOU that was approved had an error.  Section 5, Contract, stated that "JEA will issue the construction solicitation and CEI solicitation" and that terms and conditions will be substantially in the form of the standard contract provisions contained in the Solicitation (including special provision for Nassau County).

 

The corrected agreement now states that "Nassau County will issue the construction solicitation and CEI solicitation" and that terms and conditions will be substantially in the form of the standard contract provisions contained in the Solicitation (including special provision for JEA).

 

Section 5 of the incorrect contract previously approved on August 12th is attached and the changes are highlighted in yellow for informational purposes.

Request:
Approve and authorize the Chairman to sign a corrected Memorandum of Understanding with JEA for Design and Construction of the water main for the Pages Dairy Project from Felmor Road to Chester Road, Contract No. CM2716.
