| | | | | | | | Background: | The Concerned Citizens of Hilliard has coordinated the MLK Walking Event for Monday, January 20, 2019 which will require a temporary road closure on US Highway 1. The Florida Department of Transportation requires a Temporary Closing of State Road Permit to be signed by the Sheriff and Board of County Commissioners.
Additionally, a small portion of the parade will take place on County Road 108 and needs BOCC approval as well. | Request: | Approve and authorize the Chairman to sign the Temporary Closing of State Road form as required by the Florida Department of Transportation for the MLK Walk on Monday, January 20, 2020; and authorize a portion of the parade to be held on County Road 108, between Pecan Street and US Highway 1.
