Background:
The Supervisor of Elections Office created the "Take a Hero to Lunch" Event in which one veteran will be honored quarterly. The first veteran selected was Sgt. Dale Stickrath, Senior, an Aerial Gunner with the 13th Air Force as part of the 307th Bombardment Group who served during World War II. Sgt. Stickrath was the guest of honor at a luncheon held on August 23, 2019 and will also be celebrating his 95th Birthday on October 16th. The Board expressed interest in recognizing Sgt. Stickrath for his service to our Country and in celebration of his 95th Birthday. Sgt. Stickrath and his daughter, Debbie Drake, will be in attendance at the meeting.
Request:
Approve a Resolution of the Board of County Commissioners of Nassau County, Florida, celebrating the 95th Birthday of Sgt. Dale Stickrath, Senior, and commending him on his service to our Country.
