| | | | | | | | | Background: | | The State of Florida Department of Transportation owns certain property located in Nassau County, specifically the section of State Road 200 (SR 200) beginning at the I-95 Diverging Diamond Interchange and extending east for approximately nine (9) miles to County Road (CR 107). Various irrigation devices including, without limitation, water meters, sprinklers and bubblers, irrigation pipes, backflow preventers, and various plants or vegetation are to be installed on the referenced property. The State of Florida Department of Transportation is to construct/install and fund said improvements. The State of Florida Department of Transportation shall maintain said improvements for a period of two (2) years from the date the State of Florida Department of Transportation accepts the improvements from the contractor (Establishment Period). Following the two (2) year Establishment Period, Nassau County shall be responsible for operating, maintaining and repairing said improvements. | | Request: | Approve a Resolution authorizing the execution of the Construction & Maintenance Agreement between the State of Florida, Department of Transportation, and the Board of County Commissioners of Nassau County, Florida, for landscaping on State Road 200 from I-95 to County Road 107; and authorize the Chairman to sign associated agreement, Contract No. CM2778.
