Background:

The proposed amendment to the Future Land Use Map (FLUM) of the Comprehensive Plan is comprised of seven (7) parcels totaling approximately 265 acres. This application requests to change the existing FLUM designation from Low Density Residential (LDR) to Recreation (REC).

A proposed rezoning will be filed for the parcel from Open Rural (OR) and Residential Single-Family 2 (RS-2) to Planned Unit Development (PUD).  The existing use of the property (golf course) and the proposed rezoning would be consistent the proposed Recreation (REC) FLUM designation, if approved .

In order to address outstanding comments with the PUD application, Staff requested a continuance of this item to the January 21 2020 Planning & Zoning Board meeting.

As a result, Staff is requesting a continuance of the hearing for transmittal of this amendment to the January 27, 2020 meeting.
