Item Title:Approval of LAP Agreement for Bike Path/Trail Design Services on Amelia Island Parkway

Background:

Engineering Services has received four LAP agreements from FDOT for the oversight and management of design work and  development of the bid package.  Each agreement is specific to one segment of the bike path/trail along Amelia Island Parkway.

 

Amelia Island Parkway from Fletcher Avenue to Via Del Rey – CM 2804

Amelia Island Parkway from Via Del Rey to 14th Street – CM 2805

Amelia Island Parkway from Bailey Road to 14th Street – CM 2806

Amelia Island Parkway from 8th Street to Bailey Road – CM 2807

 

FDOT is agreeing to a maximum participation in each agreement of $15,000.  Each agreement will reimburse Nassau County for our staff time used to manage the consultant.  The consultant has been procured and will be compensated directly by FDOT.

 


Request:
Consider the following: 1) approve Resolutions authorizing the execution of agreements between the State of Florida, Department of Transportation, and the Board of County Commissioners for Local Agency Program Funding for project management for: Amelia Island Parkway from Fletcher Avenue to Via Del Rey Bike Path/Trail;  Amelia Island Parkway from Via Del Ray to 14th Street Bike Path/Trail; Amelia Island Parkway Bailey Road to 14th Street Bike Path/Trail; and Amelia Island Parkway from SR200 8th Street to Bailey Road Bik Path/Trail; 2) authorize the Chairman to sign associated agreements, Contract No. CM2804; Contract No. CM2805; Contract No. CM2806; and Contract No. CM2807; and authorize the Chairman to sign associated Budget Amendments.

Approve the Board to adopt a resolution for each of the following, and authorize the Chairman to sign each FDOT Local Agency Program Agreement for the management of the design of a bike path/trail on Amelia Island Parkway:

 

Amelia Island Parkway from Fletcher Ave to Via Del Rey

FDOT Financial Project ID 437334-1; Federal Aid #D219-048-B

 

Amelia Island Parkway from Via Del Rey to 14th Street

FDOT Financial Project ID 437335-1; Federal Aid #D219-049-B

 

Amelia Island Parkway from Bailey Road to 14th Street

FDOT Financial Project ID 437336-1; Federal Aid #D219-050-B

 

Amelia Island Parkway from 8th Street to Bailey Road

FDOT Financial Project ID 437337-1; Federal Aid #D219-051-B

 

Budget Amendments are also needed for funds not anticipated in FY 19-20.
