Background:

At the School Board meeting held on October 24, 2019, the School Board approved Resolution No. 1341 directing the Board of County Commissioners to place a referendum on the ballot for the August 2020 election for electors within Nassau County School District to vote on the approval of an additional one (1) mill of ad valorem millage tax pursuant to Section 1011.73(2) of the Florida Statutes. The BOCC subsequently approved Resolution No. 2019-175 approving the placement of the referendum on the ballot.

 

Both Boards will discuss steps needed and the submission timeline.
