| | | | | | | | | Background: | | The County Manager/Attorney, Human Resources and OMB have been working with the University of Florida since January 2019 to draft a final Memorandum Of Understanding which would outline the responsibilities of each party in providing Cooperative Extension Services to the citizens of Nassau County. These services include disseminating the latest knowledge and applicable technologies in agriculture, human and natural resources and the life sciences to the public in order to sustain and enhance the quality of human life in the State of Florida. | | Request: | | Approve and authorize the Chairman to sign the Memorandum of Understanding with the University of Florida, Board of Trustees, Contract No. CM2813, for Cooperative Extension Services for Nassau County residents. | | Financial/Economic Impact to Future Years Budgeting Process or Effect on Citizens: | | This would cause no further budget impacts, it would only serve to memorialize current financial processes already in place. | | Action Requested and Recommendation: | | Approval of CM2813, MOU between the University of Florida, Board of Trustees and Nassau County to continue to provide Cooperative Extension Services to Nassau County citizens. | | Is this action consistent with the Nassau County Comprehensive Land Use Plan? | | NA | | Funding Source: | | Currently budgeted locations. |
