Background:

In May 2015, the Board entered into an agreement with the United States Marshall Service to house federal detainees. In January 2017, the Board approved to those funds from the General Fund Reserves to Capital Projects Funds for funding of a Public Safety Training Center on forty (40) acres of property owned by the Board off County Road 108.

 

The Sheriff's Office is in the developing phase of project and has inquired about transferring the Federal Inmate Account balance over to the Sheriff's Office. Attached is a Budget Transfer and associated Check Request for the Chairman's signature/approval.

Request:
Sheriff's Business - Approve and authorize the Chairman to sign a Budget Transfer and Check Request for transfer of funds for construction of the Public Safety Training Center.
