Item Title:FEMA Non-Congregate Sheltering Request

Background:

FEMA sent out a memorandum on March 18th advising counties that non-congregate sheltering for the COVID-19 pandemic. In order to be eligible for reimbursements, each County must submit an approval letter from the highest official. 

 

Emergency Management has expressed a desire to have the Chairman sign a letter in case we need to establish non-congregated sheltering in the future. Should that ever occur, agreements will be entered into with local vendors to isolate individuals in separate rooms. 

 

Request:
Approve and authorize the Chairman to sign a letter to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) requesting approval of non-congregated sheltering due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
