| | | | | | | | Background: | These proposed revisions to the Land Development Code would accomplish the following:
Amend Article 20, the Industrial, Warehouse (IW) zoning district, to allow marine/waterfront industrial uses as permitted uses.
Amend Article 32, Definitions, adding a definition for "community residential home" and revising the definition of "group home". Also adding definitions for "single-family dwelling, detached" and "functional family" based on the recommendations of the Nassau County Essential Housing Action Committee.
Note: This ordinance was originally advertised to include revisions to Article 13 of the Land Development Code, the Residential General 2 (RG-2) zoning district. At the February 18 Planning & Zoning Board meeting, the Board directed staff to research and revise the proposed revisions to Article 13 and return them to the Planning & Zoning Board for further review.
