Item Title:Set Public Hearing on Amending Animal Control Ordinance Regarding Animal Noise

Background:
The Board of County Commissioners adopted Ordinance No 2017-12 on May 22, 2017 which established guidelines for unsupervised, unattended tethering of dogs.  The Director of the Nassau County Animal Services Department has recommended that the Board of County Commissioners consider amendments to its Animal Control Ordinance, specifically Section 6-54 relating to animal noise. (Recommended Hearing: July 16, 2020)
Request:
Set public hearing for consideration of an Ordinance amending Ordinance No. 2004-58, as amended, and as further amended by 2017-12, known as the Animal Control Ordinances; specifically amending Section 6-54, Animal Care and Cruelty; providing for severability; and providing for an effective date. (Recommended date/time July 16, 2020 at 6:00 p.m.)
