Background:

William A. Napert, the current property owner,  has requested a Reduction of Penalty for Case 19-4431 located at 85487 Ashley Ave, Yulee. The property was sold via tax deed sale in February 2020.

 

The property came into compliance on April 13, 2020. The fine accrued for 125 days at $50.00 per day for a fine total of $6,250.00 plus administrative fees of $374.96. Mr. Napert paid all the administrative fees in May 11, 2020.  There were two liens on the property. Case 18-814 was for non-payment of administrative fees of $354.65 and Code Enforcement received payment on May 11, 2020 and the lien has been released.

Consider request from Mr. Napert for a Reduction of Penalty for property located at 85487 Ashley Ave., Yulee (Case 19-4431).

 

William A. Napert is requesting the BOCC to waive the fine of $6,250.00. Staff is recommending the fine be waived since the property remains in compliance.  The Code Enforcement Board on July 14, 2020 recommends reducing the fine to $625.00.
