Background:

Solid Waste received the attached Grant Agreement SC124 from FDEP that requires signature. The award amount to Nassau County for FY 20/21 is $93,750. This amount is $2,841 more than last budget years grant award. The Grant will be used to provide relief in the cost of leachate disposal from the West Nassau Closed Landfill.


Request:
Approve and authorize the Chairman to sign the State of Florida Department of Environmental Protection Standard Grant Agreement, Contract No. CM2916, for Nassau County Small County Consolidated Solid Water Management Grant, in the amount of $93,750.00.  Funding source: 01362534-531313 CSCSW.
Financial/Economic Impact to Future Years Budgeting Process or Effect on Citizens:

Consolidated Small County Solid Waste Management Grant provides relief to the closure/post closure budget.


Action Requested and Recommendation:
  • Request the Board approve the Chairman sign the attached 2020/2021 Consolidated Small County Solid Waste Grant Agreement, Contract No. CM2916, for the awarded amount of $93,750.
