Item Title:Request to Use Peters Point

Background:

Mr. James Pledger submitted a request on behalf of Amelia Baptist Church to use Peters Point Parking Lot for overflow parking for a series of holiday presentations December 4-7, 2020. They hours will be from approximately 4:00-8:00 p.m.

 

They are anticipating 50 persons for each hourly performance that would likely result in approximately 30 cars. With arrivals and departures each hour, there could be approximately 60 cars on site at any given time.

 

The organizer has confirmed that they will utilize a shuttle service to transport guests and will also hire off-duty officers to assist with parking and traffic control.

 

Request:
Consider request from Amelia Baptist Church to utilize up to 60 (sixty) parking stalls at Peters Point as overflow parking for holiday presentations taking place from 4:00-8:00 p.m. the evenings of December 4-7, 2020.  The Public Works Director will mark the sixty stalls as reserved for the corresponding timeframe.
