BOCC AGENDA ITEM

Item Title:Approval of Replacement Microsoft Agreement
Date:12/14/2020
Department:Technical Services
Background:
On November 30th, 2020, our current  Enterprise Enrollment and Microsoft Volume Licensing Agreement has expired (CM2508).  Every three years it expires and must be replaced with a new contract when there are modifications to the user and device counts.   After working with SHI to verify what we needed and no longer needed, SHI submitted our new contract request to Microsoft.  This needs to be signed and submitted to Microsoft to keep existing services active and allow new users access to Microsoft products.
Request:
Approve and authorize the Chairman to sign the Microsoft Enterprise Enrollment and Microsoft Volume Licensing Agreement, Contract No. CM2961, in the amount of  $71,158.06 per year for three years.  Funding source: 01132516-546020.
Financial/Economic Impact to Future Years Budgeting Process or Effect on Citizens:
$71,158.06 per year for three years.  Total impact is $213,474.18
Action Requested and Recommendation:
Technical services requests that the Board Approve of the new Microsoft contract.  It will be purchased through SHI, Inc. using the Microsoft Florida state contract # 43230000-15-02.  Approval will mean that the county can keep access to all of its email, Office suite, and other Microsoft licensed products.  Once the existing contract CM2508 expires, the county will risk having access to all services terminated by Microsoft.
Is this action consistent with the Nassau County Comprehensive Land Use Plan?
NA
