| | | | | | | | | Background: | Funding for the design, inspection and construction of the CR 115 Widening and Resurfacing project is being provided through an FDOT (Florida Department of Transportation) SCOP grant.
On November 18, 2019 the Board of County Commissioners approved an agreement with CDM Smith to provide professional engineering services (CEI) for CR 115 widening and resurfacing with final completion expected on November 17, 2020. Amendment 1 extended the performance period to December 15, 2020. Amendment 2 extended the performance period to December 31, 2020.
Amendment #3 to CDM Smith’s contract is being presented to the Board for consideration and approval. Amendment #3 extends the time to January 18, 2021 and includes an additional $92,837.58 for services required to inspect the project through completion. The $92,837.58 addition will cover the costs of inspection from the original completion date to the newly approved January 18, 2021 completion date. | | Request: | Approve and authorize the Chairman to sign Amendment #3 to Contract No. CM2775 with CDM Smith for the CR 115 CEI services for an increase of $92,837.58 and extending completion to January 18, 2021. | | Financial/Economic Impact to Future Years Budgeting Process or Effect on Citizens: | Amendment #3 increases the project budget by $92,837.58 for CEI Services with final completion expected on January 18, 2021.
