Background:
On Tuesday, November 17, 2020, staff was notified by Florida Housing that additional funds are available to the County through the Coronavirus Relief Fund (CRF) and will be administered through the SHIP infrastructure.  This funding of $130,000 was approved by Florida Housing on December 3, 2020 and must be expended by December 30, 2020.
Request:
Approve acceptance of additional Coronavirus Relief Funds and authorize the Chairman to sign the associated Budget Amendment.
Financial/Economic Impact to Future Years Budgeting Process or Effect on Citizens:
The funding provided will assist Nassau County residents impacted by Coronavirus through layoffs, furloughs and loss of jobs in staying in their homes and apartments.
Action Requested and Recommendation:
Approve acceptance of additional Coronavirus Relief Funds and authorize the Chairman to sign the associated Budget Amendment.
