Background:

The proposed amendment to the Future Land Use Map (FLUM) of the Comprehensive Plan is comprised of three parcels totaling approximately 22.73 acres. This application requests to change the existing FLUM designations from Medium Density Residential (MDR) and Commercial (COM) to High Density Residential (HDR).

The Planning & Zoning Board unanimously voted to recommend approval of this application at its March 2, 2021 meeting.

Request:

Consider CPA20-008, a Future Land Use Map (FLUM) amendment, to change the classification of 22.73 acres located on the east side of US Hwy 17 between SR200 and Green Acres Apartments access, from Medium Density Residential (MDR) and Commercial (COM) to High Density Residential (HDR) for transmittal to state agencies for review, pursuant to Ch. 163, F.S.  District 3.

Customary staff time associated with application review and agenda preparation. Supported by applicable fees.

Action Requested and Recommendation:
