Background:

The Capital Improvement Program for the County includes the extension of William Burgess Boulevard from US 17 to Miner Road.  On behalf of the Board of County Commissioners, Engineering Services has requested funding with Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) for the project.

FDOT has submitted a third agreement to Nassau County in the amount of $900,000 to provide Right of Way acquisition and Engineering design for the new road construction of the William Burgess Boulevard Extension, Contract No. CM 2990.

The William Burgess Extension will allow the ability to connect residential neighborhoods to job centers, government services/offices, retail, entertainment and recreation opportunities.
