Item Title:FY 2021-22 Tentative Budget

Background:

A tentative budget must be delivered to the Board of County Commissioners in July.  No later than Wednesday, August 4, 2021, the BOCC must notify the Property Appraiser of the tentative millage, as well as date and time of the first public hearing regarding the budget.

Request:

Presentation of the tentative budget, set tentative millage rates and date/time of first public hearing for the FY 2021-2022 budget; authorize OMB to electronically submit the DR-420's.

Financial/Economic Impact to Future Years Budgeting Process or Effect on Citizens:

The budget is a blueprint to services and planned projects/improvements to be carried out in Nassau County.  Setting a millage determines the amount of ad valorem taxes to be collected for assisting in implementation of the adopted budget.

Action Requested and Recommendation:
