Item Title:Appointment to Code Enforcement Board

Background:

The Code Enforcement Board consist of seven (7) members and their appointments vary from one (1) year to three (3) year terms. The term of Cathy Gladden expires June 2021. Ms. Gladden represents District 3 and would like to be re-appointed for another three (3) year term. 

The Board functions as a panel to hear the facts and determine, under law, whether or not the alleged violator committed the alleged violation of Nassau  County  Code & Ordinances. They help protect, promote, and improve the health, safety and welfare of the citizens. 

Please see attached email requesting to be re-appointed. 

Request:
Consider re-appointment of Ms. Cathy Gladden to represent District 3 on the Code Enforcement Board for an additional three year term ending June 2024.
Financial/Economic Impact to Future Years Budgeting Process or Effect on Citizens:
Mileage reimbursement for board members was approved in the FY 20/21 budget. The Code Enforcement Board is a quasi-judicial body whose responsibilites are to receive and evaluate evidence and testimony regarding the alleged violations of the Nassau County Code and Ordinances. 
Action Requested and Recommendation:
Consider re-appointment of Ms. Cathy Gladden to represent District 3 on the Code Enforcement Board for an additional three year term ending June 2024.
