On June 14, 2021, the BOCC held a workshop to review the proposed five-year capital improvement program (CIP). As part of the annual budgeting process, the CIP is updated allowing the County to reevaluate its priorities and needs each subsequent year based upon the most current revenue projections and project priorities.
During the development of the CIP, emphasis is placed on capital projects maintaining service levels or preventing deterioration of facilities. CIP projects are recommended by the departments; reviewed and evaluated by the County Manager’s Office and the Office of Management and Budget to ensure the County’s priorities, infrastructure needs, financial capacity, and impact the projects could have on the County’s operating budget are addressed; and funding is ultimately approved by the County as part of the budget.
Staff is requesting the Board to make final determination on which projects to include in the FY 2022-26 CIP.
Due to the size of the CIP Book, the document cannot be loaded in Novus Agenda. However, the document is available on the OMB Website: www.nassaucountyfl.com/168/Management-Budget.
Hard copies will be printed and provided at the June 28th meeting.
