Background:

August 31st is International Overdose Awareness Day. Starting Point Behavioral Health has requested the County to adopt a Resolution proclaiming August 31st as Overdose Awareness Day in Nassau County.

Representatives from Starting Point will be in attendance to accept the Resolution.

Request:
Approve a Resolution declaring August 31, 2021 as "Overdose Awareness Day" in Nassau County, Florida.
Financial/Economic Impact to Future Years Budgeting Process or Effect on Citizens:
There is no financial impact however bringing awareness to the overdose epidemic is beneficial to the community and the residents.

Approve a Resolution declaring August 31, 2021 as "Overdose Awareness Day" in Nassau County, Florida.
