Item Title:Sheriff Donation to Youth Ranches Camp Sorensen

Background:
The Sheriff is wishing to remove $25,000 from the Crime Prevention Trust Fund to donate to the Florida Sheriff's Association Youth Ranches Camp Sorensen located in Hilliard, FL. Camp Sorensen will host summer camping programs that include team-building activities hosted by volunteer deputies committed to helping young men and women become productive, law-abiding citizens.
Request:
Sheriff's Business - Authorize use of $25,000 from the Law Enforcement Trust Fund to be donated to the Florida Sheriff's Association Youth Ranches Camp Sorensen for their summer camping programs. Funding Source: 13031521-582000.
Financial/Economic Impact to Future Years Budgeting Process or Effect on Citizens:
Camp Sorensen is a division of the Florida Sheriff Association's Youth Ranch and meets this requirement by providing programs aimed at teaching the youth how to work well with others. Other programs throughout the year include programs related to leadership, diversity, and athletics.
