Background:
Mark Anderson of Mark Anderson Governmental Consulting currently provides lobbying services to the Nassau County Board of County Commissioners, and has since January 2003. During Mr. Anderson's presentation to the Board on July 21, 2021, the BOCC requested the County Attorney bring back a renewal contract (CM1143-A17) for the Board to consider at their July 26, 2021 meeting.
Request:
Approve and Authorize the Chairman to sign Contract No. CM1143-A17, with Mark Anderson Governmental Consulting, in the amount of $75,000.00 annually for a period of four (4) years.
Financial/Economic Impact to Future Years Budgeting Process or Effect on Citizens:
Lobbying agencies work to secure funding from state resources for local projects by working closely with County staff, state agencies and other stakeholders to lesson the burden on taxpayers of Nassau County.
Action Requested and Recommendation:
Approve and Authorize the Chairman to sign Contract No. CM1143-A17, with Mark Anderson Governmental Consulting, in the amount of $75,000.00 annually for a period of four (4) years.
