The Parks, Recreation and Open Space Master Plan (PROSMP) was adopted on January 25, 2021. The PROSMP was developed over a two-year period and includes an analysis of existing conditions, a comprehensive needs assessment, a long-range vision, and the development of a phased implementation strategy.
Part of the implementation strategy includes an update to Chapter 29-46 of the County Code of Ordinances, Subdivision Development and Review, to require developers to construct and maintain new local parks as community infrastructure in accordance with the County’s prototypes and level-of-service standards. |
Consider ORD21-001, an ordinance amending Chapter 29 Of the County Code of Ordinances, Subdivision and Development Review, Section 29-46, Public Uses; providing for recreational standards for new development; providing for design standards for community, regional, and neighborhood parks; providing for construction of trails designated as Future Facilities on the County Future Transportation Map Series; providing for severability; providing for codification; and providing an effective date. |
