| | | | | | | | | Background: | Nassau County Fire Rescue would like to upgrade the current breathing apparatus equipment used by firefighters at fire rescue incidents. Breathing apparatuses are used by firefighters and rescue workers while operating in areas of immediate danger to life and health, such as a house fire or building fire filled with smoke, fire or toxic gas. Use of breathing apparatuses will greatly reduce respiratory injuries from toxic fumes. Our current equipment has exceeded its useful life and is ten (10) years old.
Nassau County contract no.
