Item Title:Employee of the Quarter Recognition

Background:

Effective January 1, 2022, Nassau County started an Employee(s) of the Quarter Program in an effort to make meaningful employee recognition part of our organization's culture as we believe that it is important for employees to feel valued, recognized and appreciated. 

 

As part of this program, the selected employee(s) will be recognized at a Board of County Commissioner's Board meeting.

 

David Brown and John Horne went above and beyond when a citizen entered the Solid Waste Office during a heavy rainstorm and asking for assistance as she had two small children in her vehicle with a flat tire.  Mr. Brown and Mr. Horne immediately took action without regard for the weather and together changed her tire and got her and her children safely back on the road.

 

Mr. Brown and Mr. Horne exemplify Nassau County’s Customer Care Standards in going above and beyond and Nassau County is proud to recognize them.
