| | | | | | | | | Background: | Florida Department of Environmental Protection email dated April 15, 2022 in reference to lease BOT 450032122 - Nassau County, Florida to renew the Submerged Lands fee Waived Lease Renewal that authorizes Nassau County to operate a concrete boat ramp (North End Boat Ramp) with accessory dock exclusively to be used for the launching and retrieval of recreational vessels in conjunction with an upland parking lot and boat trailer staging area for the Submerged Land.
Described as follows:
A parcel of sovereignty, submerged land in section 10, Township 03 North, Range 28 East in Amelia River, Nassau County, containing 32,234 square feet, more or less, as is more particularly described and shown on attachment A, dated November 12, 2002.
Per the referenced email dated April 15, 2022. an invoice for fees will be provided after final execution of the instrument. The current lease charge is $712.66 for Five (5) Year Term for the period of June 27, 2022 through June 27, 2027. | | Request: | | Approve and authorize the Chairman to sign the Sovereignty Submerged Lands Fee Waived Lease Renewal with the Board of Trustees of the Internal Improvement Trust Fund of the State of Florida, Contract No. CM2441-A1, for operation of the North End Boat Ramp and authorize payment of the Submerged Land processing fee in the amount of $712.66 for June 27, 2022 through June 27, 2027. | | Financial/Economic Impact to Future Years Budgeting Process or Effect on Citizens: | | The allowance of Nassau County to operate a public boat ramp and dock serves citizens with access to recreational opportunities via public waterways.
