Item Title:Approve a Resolution Authorizing Execution of Supplemental Agreement #1 (CM2967-A1) to the FDOT LAP Agreement for the Amelia Island Parkway Trail from Fletcher to Via Del Ray

Background:
On April 28, 2021 the Nassau County Board of County Commissioners authorized the Chairman to sign a Local Agency Program (LAP) Agreement with Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) for the construction and oversite of Construction Engineering Inspection (CEI) project management for the bike path/trail on Amelia Island Parkway from Fletcher Avenue to Via Del Ray (CM2967) in the amount $710,925.00.

During the week of May 9, 2022 FDOT notified Engineering Services that an additional $89,856.00 was available for this project and provided a Supplemental Agreement requiring execution by Nassau County Commissioners and FDOT no later than June 1, 2022.

Supplemental Agreement #1 to the FDOT Agreement (CM2967) amends the total contract for construction and project management of the Amelia Island Parkway Trail from Fletcher Avenue to Via Del Ray to $800,781.  The contract completion date of December 31, 2023 will not change.
Request:
Approve a Resolution authorizing the Chairman to execute Supplemental Agreement #1, Contract No. CM2967-A1, to the LAP agreement between the State of Florida Department of Transportation, and the Board of County Commissioners, increasing the funding by $89,856.00 for a total of $800,781.00 for the construction and oversite of the Amelia Island Parkway Trail from Fletcher Avenue to Via Del Ray.
Financial/Economic Impact to Future Years Budgeting Process or Effect on Citizens:

The Supplemental Agreement provides additional funding for the construction of the Amelia Island Trail, which will improve quality of life in Nassau County. 

Action Requested and Recommendation:
Approve a Resolution authorizing the Chairman to execute Supplemental Agreement #1, Contract No. CM2967-A1, to the LAP agreement between the State of Florida Department of Transportation, and the Board of County Commissioners, increasing the funding by $89,856.00 for a total of $800,781.00 for the construction and oversite of the Amelia Island Parkway Trail from Fletcher Avenue to Via Del Ray.
