The SFY2022-23 Agreement amount is $105,806, Contract No. CM3194 and assists in funding Emergency Management staff, providing for two positions for the all hazards emergency preparedness program. | | Request: | | Approve and authorize the Chairman to sign the Emergency Management Preparedness and Assistance Grant (EMPA) between Nassau County and the State of Florida, Division of Emergency Management, Contract No. CM3194. | | Financial/Economic Impact to Future Years Budgeting Process or Effect on Citizens: | | Without the assistance from the EMPA grant the County would have to fund 2 critical Emergency Management positions. The EMPA grant requires the recipient match funds "at the amount either equal to the average of the previous three years' level of county general revenue funding for the County Emergency Management Agency budget or the level of funding for the County Emergency Management Agency budget for the last fiscal year, whichever is lower."
