Background:

The following projects were transferred impact fee monies in FY20/21:
1. Station 71
2. Westside Regional Park Development

 

In performing a review and internal audit of impact fee uses, it was discovered that signed justification forms were not included in the files for the above mentioned projects.  Both projects have been included in prior years Capital Improvement Plan with Impact Fees discussed and approved as a funding source.

 

Station 71 is complete and funding closed.  Initial funding was established with General and Municipal Service Fund monies.  In FY20/21, impact fees were transferred to the project, replacing $725,000 of General Fund monies.

 

In FY20/21, $1,723,712 of impact fee monies were transferred to the Westside Regional Park Development project, which is in progress.

Request:
Approve and authorize Chairman to sign Financial Action Forms for Use of Impact Fees for Station 71 and Westside Regional Park Development.
Financial/Economic Impact to Future Years Budgeting Process or Effect on Citizens:

Developers pay impact fees to the County; therefore, the use of these fees alleviates a portion of the cost from tax payors.

Action Requested and Recommendation:

Approve and authorize Chairman to sign Financial Action Forms for Use of Impact Fees for Station 71 and Westside Regional Park Development.
