| | | | | | | | | Background: | Florida Statute 327.02 and 823.11 determine what constitutes as a derelict vessel and lists the Florida Wildlife Commission (FWC) as the Commission/Regulatory Agency for determining derelict vessels. Nassau County has been working with FWC on several cases of abandoned vessels located in waterways of Nassau County.
An Invitation to Bid (ITB) NC22-015 was released on April 5, 2022 for the removal of four (4) vessels that had been identified and declared as derelict by the FWC and have authorized Nassau County to remove and destroy these vessels.

On May 4, 2022 three (3) bids were received in response to NC22-015.
