Item Title:Approve a Resolution Updating the Nassau County Safety Policy

Background:

The Nassau County Safety Policy has been in place for several years however it has not been updated since 2012. Human Resources/Risk Management have worked closely with the Safety Committee, to make the needed updates/revisions to the 2012 policy. Human Resources, with the assistance of the County Manager's and County Attorney's offices have done a complete renovation to the Nassau County Safety Policy.   The majority of the changes are simply to restate, reorganize, and update the form documents that are used. 

Unions have been supplied copies of these policies for their review and/or discussion and are in agreement with the updates. 

Request:
Approve and authorize the Chairman to sign a Resolution adopting the updated Nassau County Safety Policy.
