Item Title:Amelia Baptist Church Use of Peters Point
Date:9/26/2022
Department:County Manager
Background:
Amelia Baptist Church has requested the use of a portion of Peters Point parking lot on December 2, 3 and 4, 2022 for parking/shuttling services for an outdoor musical program being held on church property.  The request is for the use of up to 75 spaces from 3:00PM-9:00PM on each of the three dates requested.  Amelia Baptist Church will also provide a Nassau County Sheriff's Deputy and church volunteers at Peters Point to assist with parking and shuttle service.
Request:
Consider request of Amelia Baptist Church to use up to 75 parking spaces at Peters Point Park on December 2-4, 2022 from 3:00PM-9:00PM for parking and shuttling.
Financial/Economic Impact to Future Years Budgeting Process or Effect on Citizens:
There is no positive or negative financial impact for allowing the use of Peters Point parking lot during the dates/times requested.  Approving this request would limit the amount of parking spaces available at Peters Point on the dates and times listed, but Staff does not believe it would impact citizens as this request is during off-peak times.
Action Requested and Recommendation:
Consider request of Amelia Baptist Church to use up to 75 parking spaces at Peters Point Park on December 2-4, 2022 from 3:00PM-9:00PM for parking and shuttling.
