Background:
Annually, the tentative budget must be delivered to the Board of County Commissioners in July.  The Board of County Commissioners will hold a workshop to hear a presentation of the tentative budget and to discuss with staff and the public.  The Board will also consider setting a tentative millage, date/time of the first budget public hearing and authorize the electronic submission of TRIM forms during the regular meeting on July 25, 2022.

Financial/Economic Impact to Future Years Budgeting Process or Effect on Citizens:
The budget is a blueprint to services and planned projects/improvements to be carried out in Nassau County.  Setting a millage determines the amount of ad valorem taxes to be collected for assisting in implementation of the adopted budget.  A workshop allows for additional opportunities for the Board and the public to engage and participate in discussions.
