Item Title:Rejection of Bids for Nassau Amelia Island Infiltration & Inflow Reduction Project

Background:

Two bids were received in response to the Invitation to Bid for the Nassau Amelia Island Utility Infiltration & Inflow Reduction Project (NC22-016).  The bids received were substantially higher than anticipated and the lowest bid exceeded budget by almost 100%.

 

Office of Management & Budget staff recommends and believes it is in the best interest of Nassau County to reject all bids received for the Nassau Amelia Island Utility Infiltration & Inflow Reduction Project (NC22-016) and reevaluate the project scope and budget.

Request:
Reject all bids for the Nassau Amelia Island Utility Infiltration & Inflow Reduction Project, Invitation to Bid NC22-016, and direct staff to reevaluate the project scope and budget.
Financial/Economic Impact to Future Years Budgeting Process or Effect on Citizens:

Ensure best use of county resources to complete the project and reevaluate the project scope and budget.
