| | | | | | | | | Background: | | The Florida Legislature has a Local Government Beach Funding Assistance Program that provides Local Governments cost-sharing grant to beach and inlet management programs. SAISSA recommends the approval of the attached Funding Assistance Request for Fiscal Year 2023-2024. | | Request: | | Consider the following: 1) Approve the Local Funding Request for FY 2023-2024; 2) Authorize the County Manager to sign the local government funding request in form substantially like the attached Application and Supporting Documents; and 3) Adopt the attached resolution in support of the South Amelia Shore Stabilization Project and agrees to continuing serving as sponsor of the project and to provide the cost-share through the South Amelia Island Shore Stabilization Municipal Service Benefit Unit. | | Financial/Economic Impact to Future Years Budgeting Process or Effect on Citizens: | | The physical and environmental monitoring is a requirement of our current renourishment permit.
