An Invitation to Bid, NC22-007 was released on February 23, 2022, for the installation of an Outside Air System and Foam Insulation at the Sheriff’s Office Mechanic’s Garage. This project was included in the FY 21/22 CIP project list for the Sheriff's Office.
The original bid opening date was scheduled for March 24, 2022, however, an addendum was issued on March 17, 2022 to extend the bid due date to April 6, 2022 at the request of interested contractors.
On April 6, 2022, two (2) bids were received in response to NC22-007, one from MCS Mechanical Contractor Inc. and one from Brooks Building Solutions. MCS Mechanical Contractor was the lowest bidder at $198,733 and Brooks Building Solutions was the highest bidder at $209,996. However, upon reviewing all the documents required for bid submission, Brooks Building Solutions was deemed non-responsive for not providing a complete bid package.
Facilities Maintenance staff recommends the bid be awarded to the lowest bidder, MCS Mechanical Contractor Inc. in the amount of $198,733. |
