| | | | | | | | | Background: | The Barnabas Center is hosting their annual Empty Bowls Luncheon fundraiser on Friday, November 18, 2022. This year's event will be held at the Ritz Carlton. Due to limited parking at the Ritz, they are requesting permission to utilize Peters Point Beach Front Park from 10am-2pm for overflow parking to accommodate their guests.
This event historically attracts about 700 guests however it is unknown exactly how many cars will need to park at Peters Point. (some guests will be allowed to park at the Ritz and other guests may ride together) The organization will secure shuttle buses to transport guests from Peters Point to the Ritz.
If approved, staff recommends that the row of parking closest to the beach lot remain open for the public. (see attached aerial map).
