Background:

R22-002 proposes to rezone an approximately 0.18 acre parcel from Commercial General – American Beach (CG-AB) to Residential Single Family – American Beach (RS-2AB) for the construction of one single-family home. It is located on the north side of Lewis Street, between Waldron Street and Ocean Boulevard in the American Beach neighborhood. The proposed RS-2AB zoning district is consistent with the existing High Density Residential (HDR) future land use designation of the property.

 

At their meeting on July 26, 2022, the Planning and Zoning Board voted unanimously to recommend approval of the rezoning application.

Consider R22-002, the rezoning of approximately 0.18 acres, located on the north side of Lewis Street, between Waldron Street and Ocean Boulevard, from Commercial General – American Beach (CG-AB) to Residential Single Family – American Beach (RS-2AB). The County recovers the costs of new commercial development through impact fees and mobility fees.
