Item Title:CM3199 Chamber of Commerce for TDC Collateral Distribution

Background:

On September 27, 2021, the Tourist Development Council recommended to the Board of County Commissioners the approval of a contract with the Nassau County Chamber of Commerce for "expenses relating to extended visitor center hours, collateral display, and hand sanitizer." 

 

Contract No. CM3199 with the Nassau County Chamber of Commerce would provide Amelia Island visitor information and collateral distribution to tourism partners, provide a display location for all Amelia Island destination collateral for visitors, and provide secondary Amelia Island welcome center services for visitors by providing staff and extended hours as needed.  This contract is for a one (1) year period and may be extended up to two (2) one (1) year terms at $30,000 annually for a not-to-exceed commitment of $90,000.

Request:
Approve and authorize the Chairman to sign Contract No. CM3199 with the Nassau County Chamber of Commerce for Tourist Development Council Collateral Distribution, in the amount of $30,000 annually for up to three (3) years (not-to-exceed $90,000 total).

Working with the Nassau County Chamber of Commerce, allows the County to promote responsible economic growth, employment opportunities, government, and excellence in education and quality of life.  Working with tourism partners helps to build a stronger, more resilient, and equitable economic ecosystem.
Action Requested and Recommendation:
Approve and authorize the Chairman to sign Contract No. CM3199 with the Nassau County Chamber of Commerce for Tourist Development Council Collateral Distribution, in the amount of $30,000 annually for up to three (3) years (not-to-exceed $90,000 total).
