Item Title:CM2576-A3 Purvis Gray Contract for Professional Auditing

Background:

Nassau County Board of County Commissioners and Purvis Gray & Company, LLP entered into a contract on August 15, 2018 for professional auditing services for Nassau County. The contract provided for an initial three (3) year term beginning August 15, 2018 and ending on August 14, 2021 with an option to extend the performance period for two (2) additional one (1) year periods , upon mutual agreement of the parties. 

 

On August 13, 2021 , the parties entered into the First Amendment to the Contract for Professional Auditing Services for Nassau County, extending the term of the agreement from August 15, 2021 through September 14, 2021 and on September 13, 2021.  The parties have agreed to extend the term for an additional eleven (11) months beginning September 15, 2021 and ending August 14, 2022. 

 

The Office of Management and Budget has determined that it is necessary to extend the term beyond August 14, 2022 and the parties mutually agreed to the term for and additional twelve (12) month period beginning August 15, 2022 and ending August 14, 2023 . The extended agreement will include an 11.3% increase in the amount of $20,480 due to an increase in the base audit fee and additional scope of services for a total of $201,480.00 for the additional twelve (12) month period.

Request:
Approve and authorize the Chairman to sign Contract No. CM2576-A3, the Third Amendment to the Contract with Purvis Gray & Company, LLP, for Professional Auditing Services for Nassau County, FL.
Financial/Economic Impact to Future Years Budgeting Process or Effect on Citizens:
Professional auditing provides a record of transparency and accountability to the Citizens of Nassau County for the revenues and expenditures for Nassau County, FL .
Action Requested and Recommendation:
Approve and authorize the Chairman to sign Contract No. CM2576-A3, the Third Amendment to the Contract with Purvis Gray & Company, LLP, for Professional Auditing Services for Nassau County, FL.
