| | | | | | | | Background: | On June 27, 2022, the Board of County Commissioners held a Public Hearing to consider for transmittal to state agencies for review, CPA21-010, an Amendment to the 2030 Nassau County Comprehensive Plan; Amending the Future Transportation Map Series (FTMS), and CPA21-009, an Amendment to the 2030 Nassau County Comprehensive Plan; Amending the Future Land Use Map (FLUM) Series Map FLUMS-1, FLUMS-6, East Nassau Community Planning Area; Master Land Use Plan.
At the Public Hearing, the Board voted to hold a workshop on July 25, 2022 at 3:00pm and August 29, 2022 at 4:00 pm to allow for additional presentations and public input on the request.
This workshop is for public input and discussion by the Board. These items will be considered at a Public Hearing during the regular meeting of the Board of County Commissioners on August 29, 2022, however, on August 26, 2022, CPA21-009 and CPA21-010 have been withdrawn from consideration. | Request: | 4:00 Workshop re: CPA21-010, an Amendment to the 2030 Nassau County Comprehensive Plan; Amending the Future Transportation Map Series (FTMS), and CPA21-009, an Amendment to the 2030 Nassau County Comprehensive Plan; Amending the Future Land Use Map (FLUM) Series Map FLUMS-1, FLUMS-6, East Nassau Community Planning Area; Master Land Use Plan. | Financial/Economic Impact to Future Years Budgeting Process or Effect on Citizens: | The County helps to recovers the cost of new development through impact fees and mobility fees. The ENCPA Mobility Plan established a funding mechanism for the development of a multi-modal transportation system for the Sector Plan. This includes mobility fees and a tax-increment financing district that will reimburse the developers of transportation infrastructure as funds become available.
